We’re hiring a geotechnical engineer with earthquake engineering experience in the Pacific Northwest. This professional will serve as a technical resource for our project teams, providing recommendations for projects involving liquefaction, lateral spreading, seismic settlement, and slope stability for transportation and utility projects.
What you bring

A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, master’s degree preferred.

Professional engineering license preferred.

Demonstrated experience with earthquake engineering in the Pacific Northwest.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and various geotechnical engineering software.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The ability to work in our Tumwater office (remote work may be considered)
What you’ll do

Assist with planning field and laboratory soil characterizations.

Develop static and dynamic soil properties, and evaluate variability.

Complete empirical and numerical liquefaction and lateral spreading analyses.

Use the results of analyses to evaluate cost-effective foundation or ground improvement options.

Support design of ground improvement and deep foundations.

The approximate starting wage will be $45.00-$70.00 per hour, based on qualifications.
